Curator and video composer, Hind is Founder/CEO of Hamzat Wasl creative consultancy; Partner, Art in Public Space; and Director of Events, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre. She previously served as Head Curator of Dubai Design District (d3), Cultural Consultant for RIVA Creatives, California and Assistant Professor at California Institute of the Arts from where she received a MFA in Theatre and Integrated Media with a concentration in Video for Performance. She has curated multiple shows while her work has been exhibited internationally. She has represented the UAE in official delegations including the first UAE Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2009); Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Al Maktoum Art Exchange Programme; Frieze Art Fair (2009); Art Basel (2008); and Art Basel Miami Beach (2009). Hind holds a BA in Visual Arts from Zayed University.

Hind joined Tashkeel in 2010 as Member 117. She has exhibited in ‘Portrait of a Generation’ (2010), ‘As the Saying Goes’ (2011), ‘Mawtini’ (2012) and ‘Made in Tashkeel’ (2010, 2017). In 2011, she was a recipient of the A.i.R programme and exhibited at Tashkeel Al Fahidi in 2012 as part of SIKKA. She curated ‘Kay’noo’nah’ a solo show by Mark Pilkington in 2017.

Hind bin Demaithan was a mentor to Hamdan Buti Al Shamsi for the duration of his participation in the Critical Practice Programme 2020.
