Celebrate the UAE’s architectural heritage by creating a miniature door inspired by traditional Emirati design. Participants will explore the distinctive forms, geometric patterns and decorative details found in historic doors across the UAE, discovering how craftsmanship can reflect the identity and character of a place.
Through guided demonstrations and hands-on making, participants will use simple wood-carving and chipping techniques to build patterns and surface details into their miniature doors. They will then experiment with colour, texture and traditional-style accents to give each piece its own character.
The workshop combines heritage, craftsmanship and creative interpretation, encouraging participants to look closely at traditional architecture while developing their own contemporary response. Each participant will leave with a handcrafted miniature Emirati-inspired door to display at home.
