Lina Ghalib
Lina Ghalib is an Egyptian product and furniture designer based in the UAE. She completed her degree in Interior Architecture at the American University of Sharjah in 2017, graduating top of her year with the MAD and Academic Excellence Awards in hand. She is an alumnae of the Tanween design programme 2020, and currently works at Aljoud Lootah design studio.

Lina explores the realms of interior and furniture design with a strong focus on product design. Her work is inclined towards fusion of different cultures she has experienced translated into a modern design language.

Hamza Omari
Born on Nov. 1990, Jordanian/ Canadian Hamza Omari graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, Canada. His interest in a multidisciplinary practice prompted his decision to join design studios such as LOCI Arch.+Design and Tinkah, where he worked as a Product Designer. He is an alumna of Tanween design programme 2017 and currently works at Palmwood.

Omari’s furniture and product design has been exhibited in several galleries and publications, including a project that was bought by 18KARAT, a Vancouver-based high-end furniture manufacturer. More recently, Omari designed the first addition of Dubai Design Week’s Abwab pavilions which utilised sand facades that were specifically developed for the project to control light and heat transfer.
