Led by artist, curator, and cultural strategist Ahmed Al Enezi (The Contemporary Bedouin), this three-session series explores one of the most dynamic intersections of art, culture, and professional practice. Across the UAE and internationally, corporate art collections are evolving into strategic cultural assets — shaping institutional identity, supporting artists, building legacy, and extending soft power. Over three connected sessions, delivered two to four weeks apart, participants move from understanding what defines a corporate collection, to the strategy of building and curating one, to activating it through programming and public value. Combining insight with hands-on participation — live exercises, role-based simulations, and case studies — the series gives participants an applied understanding of how art operates within real institutional systems.

Why Choose This Workshop?
This series is designed for a mixed and evolving audience — artists, curators, gallerists, designers, communications teams, and corporate and institutional professionals alike — with each session welcoming newcomers while rewarding those who return. Rather than theory alone, it offers art-world intelligence, institutional literacy, and practical simulations grounded in the realities of the UAE cultural economy. It creates rare pathways between artists and institutions, emerging curators and industry, and creativity and strategy, making it equally valuable for those seeking to advance an arts career and those guiding collections from within an organisation.

What Participants Will Learn?
Participants will learn what defines a corporate art collection and how to distinguish strategic collecting from mere decoration, exploring acquisition and governance models, valuation logic, and artist selection. Through the featured Octo-Curation™ framework, they will learn to curate across eight dimensions — identity, narrative, space, audience, legacy, ecosystem, value, and agility — rather than taste alone. Artists will gain insight into how institutions think, how commissions are evaluated, and how to present and negotiate with confidence, while curators will learn to structure proposals, manage budgets and expectations, and build long-term credibility. By the final session, participants will leave with a stronger professional vocabulary, practical curatorial frameworks, greater negotiation confidence, and a clearer sense of the careers and opportunities this growing field offers.
