22nd August - Dry-point Etching

Using the traditional method of dry point etching. This is a technique similar to etching but without the use of acids. Students will create a plate, which can then be printed multiple times. Although the image is always the same the nature of print will mean that each version is individual in some way.

23rd August - The Ultimate Sketchbook

Taking aspects from their daily lives and experiences, students will create unique sketchbooks that they can take away and continue to add and build on. Students are encouraged to collect everyday materials around them and use those to enhance and develop their own style.

24th August - Illustration

How can you tell a story without any text? This is one of the jobs of illustrators all over the world. Learn how to illustrate your favorite character or moment from a story. You will learn how to create and develop an illustration from start to finish that tells a story to whoever looks at it; no matter what language they speak.

25th August - Pin-hole Camera

Learn how an analogue camera works by going back to the basics and building a pinhole camera from start to finish. Students will not only learn how to build a pinhole camera but also have the opportunity of working in a dark room to develop their photographs.

26th August - Screen-Printing

Learn how to design and make your own t-shirt using the method of screen-printing and stencil making. Students will work towards a theme and from this create their own artwork to print and make their very own unique t-shirt.
