Sorour Amini holds a BA in Handicrafts and an MA in Fine Arts from the University of Art and Architecture in Iran. Adjunct lecturer of Fine Arts and Graphic Design at Islamic Azad University, in Dubai, she regularly gives private and group workshops in calligraphy and other techniques to children and adults across the UAE, and collaborates with organisations such as Sharjah Art Foundation, Tashkeel, Warehouse421, Maraya Art Center, Abu Dhabi Art and Art Dubai.

In this workshop, learn how to use a hand-cut bamboo pen with ink to create flowing, lyrical letter forms. Practice how to transfer your Arabic calligraphy designs onto tote bags and decorate them with illumination imagery created from your imagination. Also, find out how to coat paper and cut the bamboo-pen so that you can continue at home.
