Oil Painting Series

This oil painting workshop offers an immersive and structured experience for beginners interested in the art of portraiture. Participants will learn essential techniques such as sketching proportions, layering oil paints, and mixing realistic skin tones. Emphasis will be placed on understanding light, facial structure, and how to capture personality through brushwork.The workshop includes guided exercises like studying facial features, working from photo references, and gradually building up a complete oil portrait. Over the course of the sessions, participants will be led through the step-by-step process of developing their painting from a rough sketch to a finished piece. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have completed a full portrait in oil.Hamad’s teaching style combines technical instruction with open discussion. The workshop environment encourages artistic dialogue, where participants can ask questions, share their thoughts, and gain insight from the instructor’s real-world experience as a professional artist. Demonstrations will be provided at each stage of the process, followed by personalized feedback and guidance.In addition to painting techniques, the workshop will include moments of reflection and discussion on the philosophy of portraiture and visual storytelling. Participants will leave not only with a finished artwork but also with a deeper understanding of the artistic process and their own creative voice.
