In the second part of Modular Arabic Typeface, participants will build on the modular alphabet created in the first workshop and develop a full typeface with all the contextual variants of each letter. Using the same basic modules they will extend the full alphabet while respecting the rules of relation and proportion between the modules set in Modular Arabic Typeface part 1. The course will start by looking at how to interpret the original modular alphabet digitally followed by sketching out the full character set, continuing to develop the typeface on Glyphs.
