Explore the relationship between material, structure and function through the making of a handcrafted leather wallet. Working with pre-cut panels of vegetable-tanned leather, participants will learn how a flat material can be folded, joined and finished to create a refined everyday object.
Through guided demonstrations, participants will prepare and align the leather components, punch stitching holes and use traditional saddle stitching to assemble their wallet. They will then refine and burnish the edges before adding an understated personal detail through stamping or debossing.
The workshop introduces leathercraft through the lens of product design, encouraging participants to consider proportion, construction, tactility and the way an object develops character through use. Each participant will leave with a functional leather wallet or cardholder made by hand.

Why Choose This Workshop?
Introduces traditional leathercraft through a contemporary product-design approach.
Encourages an appreciation of material, construction and precise handwork.
Combines practical skills with decisions around colour, proportion and detail.
Offers insight into how flat components are transformed into a functional three-dimensional object.
Produces a refined and durable outcome designed for everyday use.
Encourages slower, more considered making and a deeper connection to the objects we carry.
Requires no previous leatherworking experience.
