Drop-in Workshop: The Art of Quilling

Discover how simple strips of paper can be rolled, shaped and arranged into detailed decorative compositions.

Participants begin by learning the fundamental techniques of paper quilling, including how to create tight and loose coils, teardrops, petals, scrolls and other simple forms. They then experiment with combining these elements to develop patterns, illustrations and layered designs.

Using their preferred colours and compositions, participants create an original paper artwork inspired by flowers, animals, lettering, geometric forms or abstract patterns. Each participant leaves with a completed quilled composition to display at home.
