Jalal Jamal Bin Thaneya is a photographer based in Dubai. His large format compositions capture industrial facilities and ghostly landscapes in the United Arab Emirates, exposing society’s all-encompassing reliance on oil and nature’s manipulation by human hands. His work has been included in group exhibitions at Sharjah Art Foundation, The Empty Quarter Gallery, Tashkeel, Dubai Photo and elsewhere.

Jalal Bin Thaneya exhibited 'Beyond the Fence' at Tashkeel as part of his participation in the Critical Practice Programme 2019.
