Azza Al Qubaisi
Azza Al Qubaisi is a jewellery artist, sculptor and product designer and is most often referred to as the UAE’s first Emirati jewellery artist. She enjoys exploring and experimenting with metal and natural materials. Azza holds a MA in Cultural and Creative Industries and a BA in Jewellery Design, Silversmithing and Allied Crafts. She has exhibited widely including, 'Three Generations' (Sotheby’s London, 2013), UAE National Day exhibition (EXPO2015 Milan) and ‘Portrait of Nation’ (Berlin, 2017). Her work has been published in several books, including ‘500 Earrings: New Directions in Contemporary Jewellery’ (Lark Crafts, 2007). Azza is a recipient of the British Council Young Cultural Entrepreneur Award and the Emirates Women Award. She designs and produces gifts for clients including the ‘Million’s’ Poet television show.
Azza ran the ‘Jewellery for Beginners’ workshops (2009) and has previously exhibited in ‘Sculpture to Wear’ (2012) at Tashkeel.
