Winter Camp 2026 (7 to 12 years): Pots of Imagination

This playful and hands-on workshop invites young makers to transform a simple ready-made plant pot into a colourful and imaginative creation. Using clay, participants will sculpt and add decorative elements such as characters, animals, flowers, patterns, textures, and playful three-dimensional details directly onto their pots. Children will experiment with shape, colour, texture, and composition while developing a design that reflects their own ideas and personality. To complete the experience, each participant will plant their own plant inside the decorated pot, bringing together art, making, and nature in a creative piece they can continue to care for at home.

Each participant creates a personalised decorative pot complete with their own plant to take home and care for.

What Participants Will Learn

Basic clay sculpting techniques for creating and attaching decorative three-dimensional elements. How to use shape, texture, colour, and composition to personalise and transform an everyday object. Basic planting skills and how art and nature can be combined to create a functional living artwork.

A daily meal will be provided for all participants throughout the Winter Camp.
