Sunday Funday: Cyanotype Glow Lamp

Discover the magic of sunlight and printmaking in this creative cyanotype workshop. Participants will arrange a selection of objects, shapes, stencils and transparent images on light-sensitive paper before exposing their compositions to ultraviolet light. As the prints are rinsed and developed, their designs will be revealed in cyanotype’s distinctive shades of deep blue and white.
Participants will then use their finished prints to create a decorative lamp that brings their imagery to life when illuminated. Combining photography, printmaking and functional design, this workshop offers a playful introduction to one of the earliest photographic processes.
