Azim is an artist and illustrator and works as an education coordinator and adjunct faculty. He is also an alumnus of the Sheikha Salama Emerging Artist Fellowship and the American University in Dubai, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Virginia Commonwealth School of the Arts. His practice is rooted in research of ingredients, practices and images as they migrate through various cultures and peoples.

Build your own miniature shop with Azim Al Ghussein! This workshop is designed to help children explore their spatial design skills using cardboard and other materials to construct a simple shop space. Children will be encouraged to carefully consider each element of their shop and use different materials and their imagination to add richness to their structures. Azim will guide children through prompts that will help trigger their creativity and bring their own style to their creations.
