What can the overlooked details of a city tell us about the places we call home?
Join artist and architect Hamad Almuzaini for an artist-led tour of Precarious Beings, his first solo exhibition at Tashkeel.
Through the exhibition, Hamad invites us to look more closely at the ordinary infrastructures, objects, and interventions that make up our everyday surroundings. Drawing from his observations of Kuwait City, the works consider how places are shaped not only through formal planning and systems, but also through human actions, adaptations, decay, and the quiet relationships between people and their environments.
During the tour, Hamad will share insights into the ideas and observations that informed the exhibition, tracing his process across photography, drawing, and sculpture. From fleeting photographic encounters to carefully rendered drawings and reconstructed objects, each body of work offers a different way of slowing down and paying attention to the details that often escape notice.
Moving through the exhibition with the artist, visitors will discover how seemingly mundane moments can become starting points for questions around placemaking, perception, agency, and the intangible qualities that give a place its character.
