Participants begin by discovering the fundamental properties of acrylic paint and experimenting with colour mixing, brush control and different methods of applying paint. They explore how colours can be blended, layered or placed beside one another to create contrast, depth and visual interest.

Using these techniques, participants develop a painting inspired by a subject or composition of their choice. They work at their own pace, gradually building colour, form and detail before completing an artwork to take home.
