Beyond the Fabric: Textile Techniques Uncovered

This workshop combines traditional and modern methods to push the boundaries of fabric design. Participants will begin by creating their own sublimation-printed fabric, producing two A3 samples, one as a base for further exploration and the other as a final piece. They will also prepare a custom dye-and-tie fabric to serve as a vibrant foundation. Using heat pressing, these bases will be ready for an array of creative enhancements. Over the course of the workshop, participants will delve into a rich repertoire of techniques, including hand stitching, hand embroidery, bead embroidery, hand printing, and advanced silkscreen methods. Each day builds upon the last:

Day 1: Master the art of sublimation printing and dye-and-tie preparation. Bring your design concepts to life while exploring the interplay of color and texture.
Day 2: Focus on printing films, preparing screens, and mixing colors to elevate the silkscreen process.
Day 3: Experiment with printing techniques, layering elements to craft a unique textile collage that reflects your personal style.

Guided every step of the way, participants will layer these diverse elements into a cohesive, one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The experience will conclude with a reflective session where participants showcase their creations and share their creative processes.
