What makes a place feel like it belongs to us?
Sometimes, it’s not a grand building or a carefully designed space, but a small, temporary place that offers a moment of calm, familiarity and connection.
Join artist Shamin Sharum for an artist-led tour of Provisional Sanctuaries, an exhibition exploring the makeshift prayer spaces found across the UAE. Through paintings, drawings and architectural models, Shamin draws our attention to the overlooked details of these everyday spaces and the people who bring them to life.
Go beyond what you see and discover the stories, observations and ideas behind the work, directly from the artist himself.
