Workshops across Dubai

During my residency in Tashkeel, I have created murals with students from a number of different schools of Dubai. Along with selected participants, large-scale murals were created on highly-visible walls of the schools. These mural projects aimed to provide an aesthetically pleasing artwork, as well as to offer an opportunity for students to take part in an artistic creation which will stir pride and awe in passers-by. Each project was an amazing human experience. It was interesting to see both the involvement and pride of 14 year old kids from Rashid School for Boys and the excitement of the graduating students from the German International School. I was mainly amazed by the commitment of the students of Zayed University who worked hard, in the heat and sometimes at night, to finish the mural in the course of five weeks.
