eL Seed joined the Guest Artist Programme in November 2013. His restless energy and unstoppable enthusiasm saw him complete projects in Kuwait, Tunisia, Paris and Brazil, in addition to working on collaborations in Dubai at the Archive with previous Guest Artist Ruben Sanchez, in partnership with the Crossway Foundation and on the Canopi bowl at Tashkeel in collaboration with Ruben and studio member Marwan Shakarchi (Myneandyours). He made an important contribution to Tashkeel's education programme, giving an open lecture to students at the American University of Sharjah and running workshops leading to the creation of site specific murals at Rashid School for Boys, Zayed University, the German School and at the Meadows branch of Emirates International School.

In addition, eL Seed continuously demonstrated generosity with his time and creative talent through his donation of artworks to two auctions in aid of local charities, Art4Sight, the proceeds of which were used by the Noor Foundation in the treatment of curable blindness, and START, which benefits their work for refugees, orphans and children with special needs across the Middle East and India and a children’s charity in eL Seed’s home country, Tunisia. Throughout the year he had the opportunity to work alongside and share experience with other artists and to experiment with new techniques - noticeably printmaking, using the laser cutter and, more latterly, exploring ways to express calligraphy in three dimensions.
