Tashkeel’s Clay Studio is a dedicated, specialized environment designed to support contemporary ceramic production and critical experimentation. Facilities & Equipment
The studio is highly organized into zoned areas to accommodate every stage of the ceramic process, from wedging and throwing to drying and glazing.
The facility features traditional pottery wheels alongside an advanced 3D clay printer, enabling innovative design prototyping. Firing resources include two Amaco electric kilns (289L) and a large-scale Rohde electric kiln (1200L). Practitioners have the flexibility to utilize Tashkeel’s stocked raw materials—including various clay bodies, glazes, and slips—or bring their own approved materials to suit their specific research and production needs.
Access & Support
The Clay Studio operates on an open-access model, welcoming both Tashkeel members and the general public to book sessions.
While the studio is tailored toward independent creative production, prior experience is not mandatory. Artists and designers of all levels are supported by our on-site team of technical specialists and experienced staff, ensuring a safe and collaborative environment. Beyond daily production, the studio periodically hosts specialized masterclasses led by industry professionals to further practitioner development and advanced skills.
