Laser Cutter
The Epilog Fusion Pro 48 brings industry-leading speed and precision to laser cutting and engraving at Tashkeel. This dual-source system combines a CO2 laser with a fiber laser, giving members the flexibility to cut and engrave organic materials like wood, MDF, acrylic, paper, cardboard and fabric, as well as engrave coated and bare metals — all on one machine. With a 48 x 36 inch work area and a maximum engraving speed of 165 inches per second, it's ideal for practitioners progressing from 2D to 3D form, artists developing stencils for mural pieces, and anyone producing detailed or large-format work.
The Fusion Pro 48 features IRIS™ camera positioning for accurate artwork placement, a vacuum hold-down table, and auto-focus, making it both powerful and accessible for members of varying experience levels.
Tashkeel staff provide an essential induction to this piece of equipment, and from there members are welcome to experiment as they would with any other tool with the supervision of a technician, benefitting from preferential membership rates.
CNC Router
The Tigertec TR-408 AD is a large-format CNC router with automatic tool changing (ATC), designed for precision cutting, carving and machining across a 1220 x 2440mm bed. It opens up possibilities for furniture-scale work, architectural models, signage, moulds and large 2D/3D panel production in wood, MDF, acrylic and other sheet materials.
Powered by a 9.5kW spindle with speeds up to 24,000 RPM and an 8-position automatic tool magazine, the machine allows for multi-step jobs — routing, drilling and profiling — without manual tool changes mid-process. The vacuum bed securely holds material across six zones, and a built-in misting system supports aluminium cutting.
Tashkeel staff provide an essential induction to this piece of equipment. Given its scale and capability, members work with the CNC under technician supervision, benefiting from preferential membership rates.
