"I look for a certain tranquility to counterbalance the feeling of unrest and dissatisfaction, driven by the need to rediscover the sources of human feelings of owning and fascinated with subverting the traditional forms and finding new ways of depicting them. I do not describe objects in the natural world, but instead use colour and form in a nonrepresentational way." (Artist statement, 2008)
