Mohannad Orabi

Mohannad Orabi was born in Damascus in 1977 and currently lives and works in Dubai. His work reflects his interest in spontaneity, the liberation of forms and colors, and the creation of art without specific guidelines. And many of Orabi's multi-media paintings reflect the artist's fascination with the stage of consciousness development in childhood. Mohannad Orabi graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus in 2000 and won first prize at the National Young Syrian Artists' Exhibition in 2006. In 2014, Orabi was named in Foreign Policy magazine as one of the top 100 global thinkers based on his participation in the APEX Syria Generations held at the Beirut-Dubai Days Gallery and London, as well as solo exhibitions: Days Gallery - Jeddah (2013), Days Gallery at the Dubai World Financial Centre - Dubai (2012), Days Gallery in the Quds-Dubai (2009), Days Gallery - Damascus (2008), Zara Gallery - Amman (2007), and Ishtar Gallery - Damascus (2004-2006). In addition to his many artistic contributions, his works are in many cities around the world.
