Mahmoud Ahmad

Mahmoud Abu Ali is a Jordanian national born in Abu Dhabi. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Sharjah. Mahmoud is currently a Teaching Assistant and Master’s student in Sustainable Critical Infrastructure at Khalifa University of Science and Technology.

His research interests are in Public Space Design and Outdoor Thermal Analysis. In 2017, his research thesis project won first place at the Abu Dhabi Undergraduate Research Competition in the Architectural and Urban Planning category. The title of his winning research project was ‘Design from waste: Review of the waste management sector in the UAE and experimentation of recycled content materials to support the development of a sustainable and energy-efficient building sector’.
