Leona Collins

Leona Collins is a designer focusing on textiles, patterns and print. Throughout her career she has created original artwork and designs for textiles, fashion, interiors, products, graphics and illustration. A Fashion Design graduate of the Limerick School of Art and Design, Ireland, she went on to complete a Masters (MDes) in Textile Design with Computer Applications at Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. Since then, she has freelanced and lectured in design and textiles. After relocating to the UAE, she started designing for a local company (Camel Company, Zahra Tex), creating soft toy camels and gifts, stationery, textiles and T-shirts to name but a few. She has created designs for Atlantis hotel (Dubai), Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi Duty Free, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray hotel, and has exhibited artwork at DUCTAC, Meem Gallery, The Courtyard Gallery and Dubai Creek Art Fair (now SIKKA). Leona is an associate member of Tashkeel.
