Fatma Al Ali
Fatma Al Ali is a multidisciplinary artist who works with themes of materiality, weight, tension and perception of the material and its form; tapping into topics of social restriction and the unseen burden on individuals. She holds a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the University of Sharjah and is a graduate of The Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship, cohort 2019–2020. Fatma has participated in exhibitions including 'community and critique’ (Warehouse 421, Abu Dhabi, 2020); Emirates Fine Arts Society Annual Exhibition (Sharjah, 2019); and ‘Printmaking Exposium’ (4bid Gallery, The Netherlands, 2019). She has contributed to public art projects including Jumeirah Project, 2018; Dubai Canvas, 2017–18; Arnhem Art Festival, The Netherlands, 2017.
