Emma Skinner

Emma Skinner is a British born artist, whose visual narrative and free diving expeditions explore the human experience of the ocean; the importance of realising change and highlighting failing ecosystems. Emma developed her passion and knowledge working at Sea World, Florida, USA; Taronga Zoo, Sydney and maintaining corporate aquariums in the UK. In the UK, she set up a Mobile Zoo educating the public and schools about ecology, the food chain, adaptation and animal care. She is currently working on a series of paintings depicting an imminent destruction of the ocean and its ecosystem. Her pieces speak of the interconnecting natural world which is out of balance due to the human parasitic drive for consumerism at any cost. Emma donates 20 per cent of her artwork sales to Plastic Bank. Each sale makes the buyer plastic neutral for the year.
