Daniela Waheed

Originally from Canada and based in the UAE, Daniela Waheed is an artist and educator dedicated to the revival of endangered art forms. With a Bachelor’s degree in Art and a Master’s in Education, she leverages a decade of teaching experience to breathe new life into centuries-old traditions.

Her practice centers on Ebru, a 500-year-old water marbling technique, which she views as a vital cultural heritage that must be preserved for future generations. Since 2019, Daniela has shared the "magic" of Ebru through specialized workshops for all ages and has been a featured artist at the RAK Fine Arts Festival for the past five years. Beyond her studio, she is a devoted mother of two, balancing her passion for artistic preservation with her commitment to education.
