This workshop introduces participants to the traditional technique of chip carving, a decorative form of wood carving that involves removing small chips of wood to create geometric patterns and intricate designs.
Participants will learn how to safely handle carving tools and understand the basic cuts used to build repeating patterns on wooden surfaces.
Through guided practice, participants will explore composition, rhythm, and symmetry while developing control and precision in their carving.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will complete a carved wooden piece that reflects both technical skill and personal design.
