Sikka 2026: Wheel-Thrown Pottery – (Beginner Friendly)

Discover the magic of shaping clay on the pottery wheel in this hands-on introductory session. 

Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, participants will learn the basics of centering clay and forming simple ceramic pieces such as cups, bowls, or small plates. No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity and creativity. 

Once shaped, each piece will be kiln-fired and finished with a transparent glaze. 

This is a walk-in workshop, open to participants on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Please note that there are only 4 pottery wheels available per time slot.

Glazing and firing will take approximately 10 days, after which participants can collect their handcrafted creations from Sikka House 15 or Tashkeel Makerspace, Unit 89 Alserkal Avenue
