Take your watercolour skills further in this two-session workshop focused on creating expressive, atmospheric landscapes. Designed for participants with some prior experience, the workshop explores composition, colour harmony, and layering, alongside the techniques that capture light, depth, and mood in natural scenes. Through guided demonstrations and practical exercises, participants will develop and refine a finished landscape across the two sessions — building strong compositions, creating atmospheric effects, and using glazing and texture to bring their paintings to life, all with individual guidance and feedback along the way.
Why Choose This Workshop?
This workshop is for participants ready to move beyond the basics and paint with greater intention and confidence. Rather than rushing through techniques, the two-session format gives participants the time to develop a single landscape properly — exploring, layering, and refining until the work feels complete. With demonstrations to guide the way and individual feedback throughout, it offers a supportive space to deepen real understanding of the medium and to see a more ambitious painting through from first wash to finished piece.
What Participants Will Learn?
Participants will learn how to build strong landscape compositions and work with colour harmony to set the mood of a scene. They will explore layering and glazing to create depth and atmosphere, and discover how texture can add life and character to a painting. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice across the two sessions, participants will develop and refine a finished landscape of their own, leaving with greater confidence and a deeper understanding of the watercolour techniques that make a scene come alive.
