Participants will learn to prepare artwork for a limited print run using the Tashkeel’s very own Risograph machine. The Risograph machine is a specialised printing process that uses soy-based ink using a digitally produced stencil on banana fibre paper. In this workshop, participants will learn to produce quick prints in vibrant colours at a cheap cost, while learning how to adapt artwork to suit this unique and friendly printing process.
Participants are encouraged to bring a single artwork they would like to experiment with and print. Topics covered in the workshop include digital and analogue image preparation, 2 colour printing, and paper selection. Each participant will leave with 30 risograph prints made during the workshop, and an introductory level understanding of the Risograph process. Artists and designers of all levels welcome.
