The Professional Practice sessions tie into Tashkeel's broader programming facilitating creative practices, professional development and critical engagement. The aim of the programme is to provide artists and curators with the tools and skills to enhance their practice through a range of sessions including crits, writing workshops, practical sessions (legal to finances). The programme aims to provide sustained support and dialogue in an environment that encourages experimentation and rigorous discourse.
Karim Sultan has been invited to lead the October to January programme for 2016-17 and will be working with Beth Derderian.
All required materials, including publications and related texts will be available at Tashkeel.
The Professional Practice programme is recommended for any artist, writer, curator or individual actively engaged in contemporary art or seeking to pave a career within the arts.
