Nora Zeid is an illustrator, designer and visual artist based in Dubai. Her practice is simultaneously complex and accessible and seeks to spark discourse without excluding or alienating audiences. Driven by the desire to re-establish her relationship with her hometown of Cairo, Nora’s body of work currently revolves around visual representations of the city and how it affects people’s relationship with spaces.
After working as a graphic designer at Abjad Design for three years, Nora shifted her focus to her visual arts practice as well as freelance illustration. She has done work for clients such as VICE, NoGood, Matter, Dubai Culture and Dubai Design District. She holds a B.S in Visual Communication from the American University of Sharjah.
Nora has participated in exhibitions including Cairo Prints Exhibition - Edition II (Cairo, 2021) and SIKKA Art Fair (Dubai, 2019). Her comic titled 'East of Home' has been published in Sharjah Art Foundation’s anthology Corniche 2020.

Learn to use Procreate for illustrations and animations in this beginner workshop with artist Nora Zeid. Focusing on using Procreate as a tool to bring concepts to life, the workshop aims to equip illustrators with the knowledge necessary to establish a streamlined and practical workflow. Nora will explain the different tools and their applications through demonstration, and participants will be given time to experiment, practice and gain both individual and group instruction.
This workshop is suitable for visual artists and designers looking to start digitising their process and creating a suitable workflow.
