This three-session series is an invitation to bring garments, fabrics, and attitude to life on the iPad, guiding participants from the fashion figure all the way to a finished illustrated project in Procreate. Across three focused sessions, participants will learn to draw the stylised figure, render fabric and prints with confidence, and pull their ideas together through a mood board and a final piece — all with the freedom, flexibility, and endless undo button that digital drawing allows. In a relaxed and creative setting, participants will move from quick gestural sketches to a fully realised fashion illustration, discovering how Procreate's brushes, layers, and colour tools come together to suggest a whole look. By the end of the series, each participant will have developed and completed a digital fashion illustration project of their own.
Why Choose This Workshop?
This series welcomes participants of every level, whether they're experienced with drawing or picking up an iPad for the first time — no experience required. Fashion illustration is as much about energy and expression as accuracy, and Procreate makes it especially freeing — every line can be adjusted, recoloured, or undone, so there's no pressure to get it right the first time. Spread across three sessions, the series gives participants the time to build each skill in turn — figure, fabric, and concept — before bringing them together in a project of their own. Whether participants dream of designing, want to develop their digital drawing skills, or simply love fashion, the series offers an inviting and structured path into a field where personal style is the whole point.
What Participants Will Learn?
Participants will get to know Procreate's interface — brushes, layers, colour, and gesture controls — while learning to draw the stylised fashion figure, with the elongated proportions and poses that distinguish fashion illustration from life drawing. They will learn to bring the figure to life by rendering fabric, folds, drape, texture, and prints digitally, using layers and brushes to suggest different materials and movement. Gathering inspiration into a mood board, they will then develop a complete illustration project that draws everything together. Along the way, they will build a digital workflow they can carry into their own projects, leaving with a finished illustration and the confidence to keep developing their fashion drawing on the iPad.
