Plein Air: Acrylic Painting

Join Tashkeel Artist-in-Residence Alonsa Guevara for a fun, outdoor painting class suitable for all levels.

Amid the open-air beauty of Nad Al Sheba Public Park, participants will be introduced to a variety of acrylic painting techniques and have the chance to practice their new-found skills. Alonsa will help you develop the ability to work from observation, looking at the wider landscape as well as fragments of the natural surroundings such as grass. The two sessions will also focus on capturing light, colour, textures and depth. Time will be spent on understanding colour development, developing colour mixing skills, and working with a lack of black.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have strengthened their observation skills and enhanced their technical ability in several acrylic painting techniques.
