This workshop introduces participants to the technique of photolithography on clay, a method of transferring Xerox-printed images onto clay surfaces at the leather-hard stage.
Participants will learn how to prepare and reverse their images when needed, then execute the transfer process by carefully wetting the paper and using tools such as sponges and burnishers to adhere the ink to the clay, followed by precise removal of the paper to achieve a clean, sharp result.
Through hands-on practice, participants will create permanent, fired-in images while combining traditional ceramic processes with contemporary image-making, gaining a clear understanding of the full workflow from image preparation to firing and how to integrate this technique into their own work.
Why Choose This Workshop?
