This workshop is an invitation to make photographs without a camera, using nothing more than light-sensitive paper, the objects around us, and the sun. Lumen printing is one of the oldest and most magical corners of photography: by arranging leaves, flowers, and found objects on photographic paper and leaving them to bask in sunlight, participants will conjure soft, dreamlike images in unexpected washes of pink, violet, and amber. In a relaxed and experimental atmosphere, the workshop celebrates slowness, chance, and the quiet alchemy that happens when light meets paper over time. By the end of the session, each participant will have created a series of one-of-a-kind prints that capture the delicate impression of the natural world.

Why Choose This Workshop?
This workshop is perfect for the curious and the creative, whatever their experience — no camera, darkroom, or prior knowledge required. It offers a rare chance to slow down and play with a process where the results are never entirely in your control, making every print a small surprise. Beyond learning a beautiful and accessible technique, participants will come away with a fresh way of seeing the ordinary objects around them, and with finished works that are as much about discovery as they are about craft.

What Participants Will Learn؟
Participants will learn the fundamentals of the lumen process: how light-sensitive paper responds to sunlight, how to compose with natural and found objects, and how exposure time and weather shape the final image. They will experiment with arrangement, layering, and transparency to influence colour and contrast, then learn how to fix and preserve their prints so the images endure. Along the way, they will gain an understanding of the principles of cameraless photography and the confidence to continue experimenting on their own.
