John Marsland is a professional photographer based in Dubai with over 14 years of experience in the creative industries both in the UK and the UAE. His practice has been described as clean, minimal and contemporary. After working as an art director/photographer for two of the Middle East’s largest publishing houses, John is now a freelance photographer, working with clients in fashion, F&B and lifestyle. He has a passion for documentary photography, which has seen his work published in print and online.

Learn the basics of calligraphy forms in Latin, exploring letter forms, terms and the common letter types. Participants will be guided by the instructor John Marsland on constructing a foundation to begin their lettering, developing an alphabet, and linking letters. At the end of the workshop, participants will work on adding decorative features to their finished piece
