From Clay to Table: A Three-Day Tableware Series

Over a series of three days, participants will design and create a coordinated ceramic tableware set comprising a bowl, plate and optional saucer. They will explore the relationship between form, function and surface, considering how proportion, shape, colour and decorative details can connect individual pieces as part of a cohesive collection.
Participants will experiment with surface treatments such as slips and engobes, burnishing, carving, incising, impressing, stamping and texturing. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on making, they will develop a distinctive visual language and apply it consistently across their tableware pieces.
