Cyanotype is a photographic process that utilises sunlight in the creation of a blue-toned photograph or photogram. It was traditionally used as a low-cost way to reproduce building plans, which is where the term ‘blueprints’ originated.

Using her solo exhibition in the gallery as inspiration, join artist Silvia Alvarez in the garden to explore the process of cyanotypes and experiment with objects and drawings to create blueprint images from sunlight.
