Youth: Drawing From Observation

Zahra is an artist and educator living and working in the UAE. She received her BFA from the National College of Arts and MFA at the Rhode Island School of Design. She is a recipient of the Salama Bint Hamdan Emerging Artist Fellowship, Abu Dhabi. Zahra’s work has been shown both nationally and internationally and was also featured as part of the Venice Architecture Biennial, RISD NatureLab, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, MAS Context Chicago and Guernica Magazine.

A youth workshop on improving drawing skills with artist Zahra Jewanjee who will guide participants with skills, tips and techniques. Drawing is an ability that is the basis of all art, and the techniques in this workshop will enrich participants' observational drawing skills. From shading, observing, capturing movement to finalising the drawing, this workshop will cover everything young people need to get started.
