Nora Zeid is an illustrator, designer, and visual artist based in Dubai. Her practice is simultaneously complex and accessible and seeks to spark discourse, without excluding or alienating general audiences. Driven by the desire to re-establish her relationship with her hometown of Cairo, Nora’s body of work currently revolves around visual representations of the city and how it affects people’s relationship with spaces.
After working as a graphic designer at Abjad Design for three years, Nora shifted her focus to her visual arts practice as well as freelance illustration. She has done work for clients such as VICE, NoGood, Matter, Dubai Culture, and Dubai Design District. She holds a B.S in Visual Communication from the American University of Sharjah.
Nora has participated in exhibitions including Cairo Prints Exhibition - Edition II (Cairo, 2021) and SIKKA Art Fair (Dubai, 2019). Her comic titled East of Home has been published in Sharjah Art Foundation’s anthology Corniche 2020.
Nora is a participant of the Tashkeel Critical Practice Program 2020.

Join this digital illustration workshop led by artist Nora Zeid, who will go over the basics of digital illustration: from layout and rough sketching to creating line art and adding colour. Participants will be presented with different illustration styles and explore what sets them apart, utilising references to create vibrant engaging illustrations.
Participants are required to bring their tablet (with a stylus pen) with Procreate/Photoshop installed.
