Tashkeel reserves the right to reschedule any gathering in adherence to current Dubai Government regulations. As such, all workshops and events are socially-distanced and capacities are limited. As part of our Sustainability Week, this Afterschool Arts Club workshop will introduce our young artists to the vast and colourful world of paper maché. They will learn how to make organic glue and go on a treasure hunt for objects in our Printmaking studio to use as sustainable moulds. Using their created moulds, the young artists will make toys and gifts that are playful and fun while still being kind to the planet.
The year 2021 was declared as the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development by the United Nations. To reflect our long-term commitment to sustainability, Tashkeel is dedicating an entire week of workshops for 8 – 16 year olds as an extension of our regular Afterschool Arts Club. Divided into two age groups, these workshops focus on using sustainable materials to achieve fun, creative results that stimulate the participants’ critical thinking, imagination, and problem-solving skills.
