Design and produce a personalised calendar in this two-day workshop exploring the distinctive colours, textures and layered qualities of Risograph printing.
On the first day, participants will develop the visual concept for their calendar and explore how imagery, typography, colour and composition can be used to create a cohesive design. Through guided demonstrations, they will learn how to prepare artwork for Risograph printing, separate elements into colour layers and consider how overlapping inks can generate new tones and unexpected visual effects.
On the second day, participants will bring their designs to life using Tashkeel’s Risograph printing facilities. They will experiment with ink combinations, registration and layering before printing, collating and assembling their calendars.
Combining graphic design with hands-on printmaking, the workshop encourages participants to approach the calendar as both a practical object and a creative publication. No previous Risograph printing experience is required.
