Ria Sharma

Ria is self-taught Cubist. Her Cubism style is derivative of her 16 years of career in Civil Engineering. Her dynamic monochrome subjects are generally in rhythm with controlled Cubist lines and powerful spirits that seek to burst from the constraints of the Cubist shapes. Ria has held four solo exhibitions and has participated in several international exhibitions. Currently, she is working to include threads into her 'Cubic' work. She has inherited the craft of embroidery and stitching from her mother and is experimenting with a fusion of both. Ria is also a modern Arabic Calligrapher. She is a member of Tashkeel.
