Priyathanya Ramanath

Priyathanya is a self-taught artist who explores mundane, everyday scenarios and projects them into intricately patterned creations. Captivated by emotions and energies, Priyathanya experiments with fragmenting the energy vibrations and transcending them into another dimension using colours and strokes. Objects are disintegrated into moving forms and become articulated into energetic strokes and amorphous planes. She started her artistic journey in the USA, continued in Canada and now practices in the UAE, expanding her career by exhibiting at local art guilds, pop-up shows and galleries. She works extensively with ink, acrylic, oil and watercolour. Priyathanya teaches art online and works on commissioned artworks and book illustrations. She is a member of Tashkeel.
