Nouf Al Jadhami & Ali Dawi
Nouf AlJadhami is an Emirati researcher and creative. She finds herself at a crossroads between an introspective practice based on identity, faith and the unifying commodities between Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, while ‘extrospectively’ exploring elements of risk and preservation of African migration and identity in the Gulf. Her prime medium is through sculpture work both traditional and contemporary in addition to essays and multimedia.
Ali Dawi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Kuwait. His work explores the relationship between raw unfiltered common happenings and public outcry when labelled as art. What starts out as jest soon becomes manipulated into self-victimization, leaving only a sense of tragedy in comedy.
